Community Environment Days

CEDay_-_Ewaste_Loading.jpgCommunity Environment Days are annual events held in each ward in Toronto, hosted by the local Councillor.

These events are an opportunity for residents to drop off special waste and talk with solid waste staff right in their own neighbourhood.

This is especially important as many people can’t get to City Waste Depots to drop off special waste.

Residents can:

  • drop off hazardous and toxic waste
  • drop off electronic waste
  • donate good condition household items for local charities (clothing, furniture, books etc)
  • donate craft supplies for local schools (dress up clothing, art supplies)
  • pick up compost made from the City’s Leaf & Yard waste
  • pick up or exchange garbage and recycling bins

Find the schedule and read more about Community Environment Days on the City website.

Community groups and City services also attend these events - look for TEA’s information table and say hi to the TEA volunteers!
