The condo I live in is new. We have a tri-sorter. It gets used, but I think more education for the residents of the building would help to promote better sorting. My workplace is located in a commercial office building. We do not have city pick up for recycling/green waste. Although this is available privately, our building owner has placed little emphasis on waste management; our recycling and garbage all ends up in the same dumpster. :-(

I would also like the information about e-waste management to be more prominent. I can see that the amount of e-waste I am generating over the last few years has increased. E-waste recycling locations can be hard to track down.

We divert a lot of waste to the green bin and composter.

My calculated amount is 3.1 cubic metres per year based on my bin size but my bin is never full and I don’t even put the bin out every garbage day.

We probably put our garbage out once a month. I estimate 1.0 cu. m. per year.

Estimater gives 2.0 cubic metres. We put ours out only once a month, so I think that puts us at 1 cubic metre.

We’ve been trying to reduce the amount of garbage that we produce. To do this I have put compost and recycling bins around the house. It’s helped reduce our garbage a lot.

    Hi,

My calculated waste per year is 3.9 cubic metres.

You could also include approximate number of bags of recycling for calculation and for reducing.
